Erik began waterfowl hunting at the age of five years old. He hunted with his father and uncle on stock tanks and wetlands here in North Texas. It only took one hunt for him to become fascinated with the art of hunting ducks and geese. Not long after he became interested in learning how to run a duck call and drove his parents nuts in the process.
Erik has a diverse background in the sport. He has hunted everything from ducks and geese in the Pacific Flyway in the mountains of Colorado, to hunting in the Laguna Madre in the Texas Gulf Coast.
In 2006 he began his career in competition duck calling where he placed and won in several contest.
In 2013 Erik ranked number 4 in the Texas State Duck Calling Contest
He has been featured on the hunting program The Quack Shack, Field and Stream, Outdoor Life, Texas Fish and Game, ESPN Outdoors, The Dallas Morning News and The Herald Democrat.
